I agree Louie-Louie what can be done to stop all these nasty things & help the overbreeding of any animals.I still wonder if you want to breed anything be it pedigree or not if you had to register yourself & each animal had to be ID chipped or have some form of identification you would then be able to track to source & if you bought an animal that hadn't been ID registered then the new owner would be liable to a fine etc,I know it most probaly would be hard to set something workable up but the costs of unwanted pets must surely outweigh at the end of the day.I know a lot of breeders are having babes neutered before selling them & in some ways perhaps that is the way to go,selling rights can't be abused but those that don't care are still just going to carry on as normal & they are the problem,I also still can't quite come to terms with neutering at such an early age ,I along with my vet boss are still sitting on the fence over that one.It would be great if someone out there could come up with something , the "True" animal lovers/breeders would be right behind it I am sure & how true it is that the good breeders are not in it for the money I sure wouldn't want my breeder friends overheads especially when you end up with one baby & an out of hours cesarean to pay for....

It's like here... my mc will be desexed before I get. He's actually already been done at 12 weeks. Yet the tonkinese we picked up, hasn't been done because the vets here won't do them before 5 months, though clearly everything has dropped so he can certainly be done. But we can't get the papers until we prove he's been desexed.
but if we really wanted to become a backyard breeder we could easily without having papers.
Not that it's something we will do or even consider!
