I'm in the US and the number of cat food brands here is, frankly, ridiculous. I don't know what all is available across the pond, but we have a store called Pet Supplies Plus and they carry dozens of grain free and raw foods for cats. The shelters around here feed Iams and Hill Science Diet-two of the WORST foods out there. Sampson is a kibble addict from being fed Science Diet and refuses wet food and table foods. We tried Blue Buffalo's grain free "diet" food and he wouldn't touch it, then we tried grain free Earthborn and he wouldn't touch that either. I've fed Purina One for years without a problem but it makes him gain weight even more! My two Coonies prefer wet food and get Friskies, Fancy Feast, or Meow Mix plus one can of tuna once a week. Same situation there, I have tried every fancy, "all natural" $2 a can wet food-even tried Evo which is $3 for the big can and it went untouched. However, their coats are super soft and shiny and both Coons are a healthy weight with no digestive problems. They enjoy bits of roasted chicken and my beef stew too, and bits of hamburger or pork chops. Bengal Brat is a stick and I'm not sure how she survives on the small amount of dry kibble she eats...Feeding my cats is more difficult than feeding my kids-who'd have imagined that!!
If some of the brands I mentioned aren't available maybe you can order online? Like I said mine won't eat the healthy stuff but a lot of people here like Earthborn and Evo.
