UPDATE: She is eating. I found a whiskers that has real chunks of fish in it! Very happy, very fishy smell and she loves this but still won't touch her normal food. I have definitely spoilt this madam.
They are also playing-ish. I'm trying to keep them somewhat apart for her sake but things aren't turning out that way, so hey - let them get on with that! She was rolling onto her back, croaking at him (no aggression! YAAAY) and patting at him with her paw from behind the couch. She wouldn't let him get too close without hissing and smacking but this is a brilliant sign for me! Almost an invite but she's also like "Come and play at my house, take backsies! You can't come!"

Donnad - that's alright! I think the nature of this thread took a turn after the vet visit anyways. He's almost 6 months now and almost twice her size (she is small/was the runt) but he's gonna be a biggun!

MandyCoonie - I think what has been passed onto us and Wicker was Strep. I had pharyngitis and an ear infection and the OH had a chest infection. He got it first and it was (this may all be coincidental) two days after bringing Cpt. Nemo home and being sneezed on full in the face (which was funny at the time) It wasn't like he was sneezing all the time so thought he had just sniffed too hard! Then I got ill a few days after - probably from the OH or because I had slept in the kitten room.

Since starting the antibiotics yesterday and having had her third dose this morning I was surprised to hear that her voice is coming back - so the laryngitis is clearing up. The pain killers have helped tremendously and she has been strutting her stuff all of yesterday and today.

Richie - Hi Richie, I haven't rushed or pushed them in any way. I don't force them into the same rooms together - that's just where they choose to end up. I also keep them separate at night so that my girl can get better. She chooses to follow him. This was just a case of progress being stopped because she wasn't well and I misread as unhappiness at new intruder in her home.
    Alekto and donnad like this.
