Shimba hated having to go in carrier as he was always sick so we have worked on him by doing some trips, short & long on his harness in the car & putting him in carrier when we arrived at destination & some trips he has been put in straight away & now seems a lot happier. He always has one of his favourite mouse's in there & that is the only time he sees it....mean old mum. Has your carrier got a top opening to it,I find them a lot easier to use because instead of you & the cat having a struggle to unhook all those extra legs that appear { I am sure ther are more than four on some occasions } & keep hooking round everything to stop them going in you can just firmly scoop them up,drop them in,top closed, done !

Good luck Heather. I have heard of Feliway so I'm certain you can get it in Australia.

Charlie has no problems with the carrier, and Gryfn hasn't either so far.... fingers crossed it stays that way!
