Oh, she is lovely, congratulations happy 39 1/2 birthday ;) She looks adoreable and whether she is full MC, with or without papers, does it really matter ? I would get her checked out at a vet ASAP bearing in mind you have other cats just for peace of mind.

As for food, we used the Royal Canin kitten which you can get at Pets at Home, although you may want to look at getting it online in a larger quantity which is much cheaper. Like Louie's mum we have changed over to the R C Maine Coon mix which he loves and a couple of wet pouches which he is eating less and less of now, but that maybe due to the hot weather. As a treat he has some cooked chicken or tuna (in spring water) a couple of times a week. As said before introduce gradually to avoid tummy upsets but I am sure you will be fine.

Have you named her yet ?

Anyway, now time to start enjoying her !

This is Louie at 8 weeks old If you keep a check on her weight that will be a good sign of MC she has my vote anyway.

She is beautiful. You could not have left that gorgeous little thing behind!!!

I know exactly how you feel - I got Timmy from my friends shed where all the wild cats had kittens. He had cat flu and all the other kittens had homes and no one wanted him - he was so sick and all he wanted was to cuddle up to a person. I put him under my arm - went to the vets and here he is 7 1/2 years later and is the best cat.

He is also a bit of a MC wannabe although didnt even know MC's existed back then

I have to agree with everyone else - she's gorgeous and you couldn't possibly have left her behind.

When I got Freyja from the breeder, she was on RC Kitten 36 kibble and two wet pouches of Whiskas Simply Adult a day. A couple of times a week, she would get a block of coley fish or a steamed chicken breast instead of a pouch.

Now she's been with us just over a month, she's still having RC Kitten 36 kibble to snack on all day, but sometimes I put down Hills Science Plan or Applaws (both for kittens) to make a change. Due to the meat content of Whiskas I decided to try her on wet food with a higher meat percentage and she now has Applaws (pouches or tins) twice a day. I still occasionally swap a pouch for coley fish or steamed chicken but she loves the Applaws to be honest. We moved her over gradually and - with the exception of rice pudding (an own goal on my part) - she seems to have the constitution (and appetite) of an ox!

What have you named baby blue eyes? She's got the most adorable face!

Thankyou she has stolen everyones heart here really, weve called her Lilly, Do you reccomend feeding Kibble and wet food then, I have been giving her just wet so far but my three adults are on kibble as they want it and two wet feeds a day.

    Lilly's a lovely name.

Not sure I consider myself experienced enough to recommend a diet but my breeder told me to leave kibble down all the time for Freyja to snack on, with wet food as her main 'meal' (i.e. breakfast and dinner I guess). Having now read up quite a bit on the whole diet thing, there are arguments for and against a purely kibble diet... FOR: I think the ingredients can be healthier and the kibble texture can be good for keeping their teeth clean; AGAINST: cats don't drink as much as they should and a purely dry diet can cause kidney stones and problems with urinary tract. Not seen any arguments against a purely wet diet though - cats get quite a bit of moisture from their wet food. Freyja will only eat her kibble when she's licked the paint off her wet-food bowl, or when she really wants to prove a point that the wet food I've given her is disgusting!

As I said though, I'm no expert about this. It was a question I posed when I joined the forum and the advice I got from the members was excellent. I was in the fortunate position to be able to contact the breeder though, and that made it easier. Might be worth asking the vet when you take Lilly in for her first check up.

We would leave Louie's dry food down all the time for him to snack on if we could but the pensioners nick it & we have two gummies who cant chew it so it arrives back & one who is on prescription food so cant have it eaither, Im usually in most of the day so have it in a dish with a lid for him & he just comes singing for it

We have wet out all the time as they can all have it

OMG! I couldn't have left that kitten either and you certianly did the right thing. My lot have kibble all day and 1 portion of wet food at night. They aren't too keen on the wet and in the summer I don't like having wet left out due to fly issues! I think everyone agrees that your little Lilly is soooo lucky to ahve found you. Good luck and don't give up on a kitten for next year!!

Love the name Lily - it really suits her. When Simba was a kitten he came from the breeder with instructions to leave dry food down (RC kitten & MC mix) and offer wet food twice a day. He never wanted the wet food and still doesn't now. So he is now on RC MC and I leave it down all day (high up so the dogs don't eat it). I think you will just have to see what she enjoys most, they are all different.
