Confession time

I did a really really silly thing yesterday. I was quite happy to wait till next July for my mc then a friend sent me a link to an advert for a mc kitten whos owners son had become allergic and the kittens breeder was away on holiday and couldnt take her back, so I tried to put it out of my head but my oh said it couldnt hurt to look, and omg I went and she was in a house full of other cats and being fed on whiskers adult cat food and I found myself paying for her and taking her, please dont shout at me:shy:. She is beautiful and I didnt pay very much for her at all and now I need to persuade my oh to let me have another mc next year so I can do it the right way. Am I forgiven for being silly and irresponsible? I posted a thread asking about papers but I had kinda worked out that hers werent the genuine article by that time. Shes about 8 weeks old btw so the poor little girl should probably still be with mum.

Happy 40th :LOL: She's beutiful :drool1: & yes would have been better still with mum but should be fine :smile: we neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed more pics though :smile:

Can you reccomend a decent food so I can get her off this Whiskers she has been on, I dread to think what age she was when she left her mum though as shes too young now and I think theyve had her for a week already.

She is lovely - I don't blame you. Put in the same position I would have done exactly the same thing. Congratulations!

She is a little sweetie but the main{pardon the pun} clue there would have been that no decent MC breeder would have let their babies go until they are 13 weeks old & fully vaccinated,I think you might have fallen like my friend.....
Perhaps the OH would let you have another kitten this year to keep this one company.
As for feeding get it onto whatever you would be happy feeding it just do it very gradually or you will upset its tummy.Look forward to hearing more about her,I think" very lucky" should appear in her name somewhere...

Louie used to have the RC kitten food & what ever the fussy lot are on Purley, High life & Feline Fare. He's on the the RC adult MC food now & loves it :nod: still has the wet though as thats out all the time, well except when he cleans up :rofl:

She is a little sweetheart I would have done the same :nod:

I only paid a moggie price tbh so Im not feeling like Ive been tricked, She was sold as a mc but even I know that the price wasnt anywhere near right, I do think she has a lot of the character traits Ive read about, shes already been paddling in the water bowl and she peeps rather than meowing but without the papers imo shes a moggie all be it a gorgeous one. She also has enormous paws (I mean really huge) I am going to work on my oh re the mc kitten:smile:. She looks far too young to be away from her mum but Dizzy (my other girl) has already pinned and cleaned her so she might have a foster mum. She has taken to following me around the house which is so adorable. Maybe she will have to be an honourary mc so I can stay on the forum:smile:.

Thankyou I couldnt have left her tbh, Im far too soft:shy:. Can you get the RC food at places like P@H or is it on line only?

She's beautiful, if it was me I'd have done the same, poor thing was not having the best start in life there. We have had lots of rescue moggies who were gorgeous creatures, and had certain strong pedigree traits. One was a Persian, another one was just like a Norwegian Forest cat, the one we've got now is so like a Turkish Van. But with no papers and no background there's no way of knowing. But it doesn't matter, they're just part of your family.

You can get the RC grocery lines (not the vet diets) from most pet shops. Our local one only sells the small bags but they will order in a large bag for you.

It is also easy to get from the online sellers, it's worth trying a small bag first though. Our two were on baby cat at first and have now moved onto kitten and they love it. We tried the Whiskas kibble too but they seem to prefer the RC.

They have both wet food to give them variety and kibble, this is down all day for them to snack on.

I too have a soft heart and would not have been able to leave her after she had looked at me she's a little cutie.
