Thought I'd share a couple of up-to-date pic's of Freyja now I've finally sync'd my phone. No need to comment, I've posted them more for my amusement than anything as I just love taking photo's and looking at them. I waited so long to get her that I don't think I quite believe that she's mine, so the novelty of looking at her is a long way from wearing off.
She looks the picture of innocence in two of them, and the third one just amuses me - she'll stick those paws just about anywhere!

Baby books are really nice... I have series of photos of Tatja and Minnie, taken by their breeder on a weekly basis from the day they were born. It's awesome.

Shes absolutely scrummy!! But after reading about her antics in your past posts, she sounds like the devil in disguise, but you wouldnt want her any other way!! :)
Imagine my surprise - it was that innocent little face I fell for at the breeders, but lurking behind those giant ears is a maniac. I'm sure they're all as bad as each other at this age but I've only got a very old moggie from 25 years ago to compare her to!Quote:

Cannot wait to see them - same breeder I got Freyja from, so I know I can expect great kittens and fab tempraments (if a bit bonkers). And, they're actually related to Freyja as Freyja's Grand-dad is the Dad of the kittens. How cool is that?
I have absolutely NO idea how you go about integrating a second kitten with one who's got used to ruling the roost, but I'm optimistic that as they're from the same breeder they'll have been socialised in a similar way, and there's only 3 months difference in ages.
So excited - I'd really like Freyja to have a playmate, and that was all the excuse OH needed to agree to a second one; he's absolutely besotted with Freyja and worries that she'll be bored all day when we're both at work (I neglected to mention that she'll be asleep most of the day seeing as her entertainment was my entire business case...).
Watch this space!
You lucky thing & I am sure Freyja will think the same,we have had no trouble intergrating any of ours,yes there was the odd growl & hiss,still is if someone oversteps their station but have never regretted adding to our MC empire.I will be away for a few days so will have to wait to catch up on the outcome....

Got to wait until Tuesday night to find out,not fair,daren't suggest to hubby I take laptop along he thinks I spend too much time on it when we are at home,so off to the Welsh/Shropshire border without it,going to see the daughter plus the two feline grandchildren......
In the first image, Freyja was exactly 4 months old.
In the second image, she was just over 7 months old.
Don't ask me how I got her to pose the same way twice!
Love those ears on Freyja,she is turning into a little stunner,it is lovely when you can compare photos alongside like that because you can really see a big difference.
Wicca also looking as if butter wouldn't melt......
Wow Karen, she's really coming along! Look at those great big lynx tips, and gorgeous face, would love to give her a big fuss. Interesting how the different breeding lines can vary: my 2 don't have much in the way of lynx tips just now, although they do seem to be growing, like the rest of them!
PS, Big Larry update; 5.34 kgs today! What a lump!!! But the biggest, softest, daftest, nicest lump in the world.

Freyja grew so much so fast! What a eye-catching Coon ... with BatWoman ears. Very gothic and chic!

Oh dear Karen, that sounds really distressing. I would suggest as others have done, to give Freyja lots of one-to-one attention, and the run of the house, barring one room where Wicca stays. Then take it gradually from there. What do you guys think?
Owww... difficult, difficult. The stalking I’ve seen, but never the extended claws, and never had to lock a cat up.
I remember a friend of mine had two hostile cats. She solved it by getting them to play with the same toy. She kept dangling the toy between them. Took a while but finally it worked. They’re best mates now.
Howlinbob’s suggestion sounds good… keep giving Freyja lots of attention. But I’m not sure about locking Wicca up.
I can imagine you are distressed. When Tatja and Monty were not yet seeing eye to eye, hubby and I almost panicked and we thought: “OMG, we’ve made two cats unhappy!” Of course, we hadn’t. Cats live in a world where things are different. So perhaps you shouldn’t try to read too much in the girls’ behaviour yet. Observe, be patient, don’t interfere. It takes time, and some distance on your part.
Someone on here (Candes?) said: have a drink, chill out. Not bad advice at all. There's not much else you can do right now, I think. :nod:
Yes, you’re probably right. As I have said, I have no experience with serious hostilities… both our newcomers settled in quickly. I guess we were just lucky two times round. Which makes your advice more useful than mine.:smile:Quote:

So, first, the girls have a new Tigga Tower for the lounge; we've been getting serious turf war over the one platform in the study despite the fact there's enough bed space for three giant cats, so I popped down to Tigga Towers to get a second platform to replace the igloo with (the tower is about 2 meters tall to the top of the igloo and both cats like to sit ON it rather than in it, which just makes me cringe, so it's got to go) and ended up coming home with the platform PLUS a second tower. They like the new one as it means they've got their own space - a platform each - in the same room as us. So both towers now have enough platform space for platform-hog-Wicca and the ever-expanding-Freyja.
I also managed to get a half-decent picture of Wicca, although I've had to adjust the brightness so that you can actually see her features!
A miracle photograph of the two cats grooming each other - apologies for the poor quality.
And a nice picture of Freyja lolling about on our bed. She had been chewing on my kindle case - possibly to show me that she prefers The Dresden Files as a bedtime story over The Desert Spear! She wasn't that keen on The Angels of 9/11, either, so I guess she's really a vampire/wizard/werewolf kind of a cat. Wicca's not that interested in books at all, but she does quite like being in the kitchen when OH is cooking and he's listening to his 'sweaty raver' CD's! No photo's of the latter yet, but watch this space...

Thanks for asking, Jackie. We're still not dry, would you believe?? Got a little chap coming out again today to measure the water in the walls. Apparently, once you get to 25% dry you can get the plasterers in, and only one wall was that dry last week. Still emptying buckets twice a day, and at 10pm when we turn the machines off it's a bit like going temporarily deaf! Still, we're there.Quote:

I'm with candes regarding the ears... so wonderfully long and plume-y.:smile: The only one of our three who comes close is little Minnie... the other two are much more modest in the ear department.
