What papers do you normally get?
Hi guys, quick question...
I got Freyja from a terrific breeder, who's been a great source of guidance since I brought her home. I'm not sure if I've got all the papers I'm supposed to have though, so before I email her I thought I'd just check.
I've got an Pedigree certificate to say that Freyja is a pedigree MC, although at the time it was printed I hadn't settled on a full pedigree name so it just says Freyja.
I've got the receipts for payment for a female MC, and I've got her jab card.
I've also just got an application form to join the Main Coon Guild, which I'll send off this weekend.
I've not got anything else - should I have? I ask because now I've entered her for her first show, I'm worrying about papers.

What papers
Hi Karen, you have got everything on her pedigree that you need for entering the show, although she is only known as Freyja she will have the breeders prefix in front so she will be put in the catalogue as *Prefix* Freyja. All depends which body she has been registered with as to if you are waiting for any paperwork with GCCF you send proof to the breeder when you have them neutered if they are on the non prodagy register & you then get a pink slip to transfer completely to your name but it is different with FB.Your breeder will fill you in whatever.Have you sent in your entry form yet ?

What papers
Another thought Karen, you are allowed to do one show before having to belong to a club so why not wait & see if it is for both of you first, you can soon send paperwork off after that Sunday if you are going to do more to be able to claim Freyja's titles as she gets them.
On show day the only two things that we all reckon you have to remember is the cat & vaccination record, you won't get anywhere without either of those but the rest you can beg, borrow or buy at the show....

Ah, I haven't sent my breeder the receipt confirming that Freyja's been spayed, so I'll sort that this weekend. That explains why I've got nothing in mine AND Freyja's name! Thank you.
Yep, entry form went off earlier in the week - very helpful lady i've been dealing with my email, too. Can't wait!! Although dreading the bath...
Sam recommended the Main Coon Guild to join but it's probably not a bad idea to wait until after the show. And thanks for the heads up about what to bring!!

Will watch for your post after bath day to see how you got on,I am only now sending in Wellys entry form, had to do a lot of extra cover at work & have ended up cream crackered at the end of the day with that "can't be bothered feeling".I do hope they get enough entries though at the moment the number is a bit low.
Just thought, how about pictures of the first bath experience....???

That is a great idea!!! I could 'blog' the run up to her first show. We've got a tichy bathroom so it'll be very cosy with me and Sam on our knees in front of the bath, Freyja on the ducking stook IN the bath, and OH perched on the bog taking photo's!!
Watch this space... I'm on a mission now.
