Introducing Wicca...

Thanks, Karena. Yes, wanted another girl as OH has enjoyed being the 'man of the house' and wanted it to stay that way... if that was the only condition he set on a second MC, I thought I'd take it!

The name was a bit of a word association thing... I like names to be symbolic or mythological (i.e. Freyja is named after the Norse Goddess of Beauty, Love and War - appropriate to her character!). So I wanted a magic/ gothic name for a black smoke, and OH suggested Salem (as in town in Boston where the alleged heathens were burnt for being witches) but it sounded like a boys name, so I suggested Pagan. OH wasn't keen but was inspired with Wicker (as in the Wicker Man) and so we settled on Wicca, as in white magic. Once he'd said it, I knew I didn't need to keep thinking about names as it's perfect!

Thanks HB. Yes, turns out that Freyja's Great, Great Grand-dad is Wicca's Dad. Made my brain hurt thinking about what relationship that gave them though! It was nice to see Freyja's mum and nan again, and OH felt the need to explain to them both that they're daughter/ grand-daughter was being well looked after and spoilt rotten. I'm just praying that the Freyja takes to her - Catherine (the breeder) was pretty confident that it wouldn't be a problem though and she knows all four ma's and pa's so knows what kind of temperament the kittens are likely to have. 5.5 days to go!

I've updated another thread regarding progress with Freyja and Wicca so I'm just loading a couple of photo's of Wicca now she's home with us. I'm trying to get some good ones of her but her face is so utterly black that she either comes out featureless without a flash, or downright creepy looking WITH the flash - the flash makes her squint with makes her eyes look like little amber slits! Not her best look but I shall continue practicing.

In the meantime... here is little Spider Monkey in the TT.
