Litter Box?
Looking for ideas for a large litter box. We currently have a Litter Robot, but our cats are getting too large for it, they seldom use it. Other than that we have two broiler pans we are using, but they are really not large enough either.
By the way we have two Ragdolls, both 1 1/2 yrs old and a Maine Coon that is 4 months old.

Hi bkdraft, I've got a not-quite-8-months MC and a 3.5 month old MC, and between them they've got two litter trays...
One is a Van Ness CP3, it's 56cm x 40cm x 16cm. No rim, which is a pain as Freyja pees with her bum jammed against the side of the tray, making it difficult to fish out, but other than that it's been great - it's got quite high sides so there's less litter chucked over the edge when they try to dig for the other side of the world!

The other is by Clean'n'Tidy, called a Mega Litter Tray, 66cm x 42cm x 17-22cm. This one has a rim which makes it ideal for Freyja. It's also got nice deep sides so little spillage when digging.

I'd never seen a litter-robot before - pretty funky!

Here is the largest litter pan in the US:

We have several of these now for our four MCs, and I know our MC breeder uses these as well. When we bought the first one of these, within just a couple of days our cats completely quit using the smaller boxes, so they recognize a larger box and clearly prefer it.
Of course you can also look for plastic storage tubs also, but they tend to either have too low sides or too high sides, and are often not flat on the bottom making cleaning difficult.

Hank uses the Litter Kwitter regular toilet attachment... He has never made quite it through the whole course where you can allegedley completely toilet your train your cat but we're happy for him to still be able to use the system and not require a litter tray at all..
It must have saved us quite a bit of money already in litter as he doesn't need litter anymore but just sits himself up on the litter kwitter toilet attachment quite happily and does his business.

Litter Box
One of our litter trays broke a couple of weeks ago & the pet store didn't have any MC size ones so we done the same as Claudel, went next door to a store where we could get big plastic storage box ,although slightly narrower than our trays it was longer & deeper, working great, very easy to clean & dirt cheap {no pun intended} I know what we will be using to replace our trays as & when needed...

My Big cats use the huge white storage boxes you get from Ikea... 10 euros they cost.. brilliant they have tiny little feet so they are not direct on the ground, and they clean if you do them every week fantastic... I have hooded ones for the house like kitchen bathroom, first basement... but all the rest have the white ones...

NCarver, we bought 2 of those giant litter pans for our 2 MC kittens, and filled them with World's Best Cat Litter, and everything is good, no smells, no misses, clumps great, super easy to clean up. Pans are great!
