Has anyone got a .....................
Well I have told you that Diva Maisie has lost her purring engine and to date it has not been returned. But I have another problem with which I need help.
You see after years of having cats I tended to understand Cat language, of course with the help of the Cat to English dictionary. Now that Maisie also talks 'Chirp' there is a problem as nowhere can I find a Chirp to English dictionary. Tried Amazon , Google the lot but not a sign of one. Now if any of you had an old one that I could borrow it would be most helpful. As you know there are many Chirp words and the only one I understand is 'food, now'.
Thank you.

Well there are quite few new words to learn. There's 'Look at me, now', 'Let me out', 'Let me in', and 'I'm bored!' 'Let me out, now' is the loudest.
Hope this helps!

So sorry that the purring engine has not been returned,we are still listening out for it,I am sure it will turn up one day, especially if it has been ID chipped .
Its a funny old world when you can't find a chirp to English dictionary, mine tend to go prurip more than chirp but I am sure they mean the same so do you think there is a dictionary for that ?
Pansy's prurips get very demanding in the morning first thing & that normally means get a move on I want my yoghurt,Bruce's more demanding ones come tea time & that is get me into the utility room so I can pop up on the side for a food top up,Welly's are for a play with his favourite purple mouse{sorry green at the moment, purple has gone into hibernation somewhere}Merls are always high pitched & never seem to have a purpose,Shimba just prurips at you all the time & seems to mean luv me,as for poor old China because she is asthmatic any more than a gentle purr sees her coughing like a smoker.
If any of them are really annoyed though they tend to go more for the common Miaow but with strong emphasis on the "oowww" part,is any of it becoming any clearer for you

And not to forget the dad didn't feed me before he went to work chirps which of course is accompanied by the innocent face! One second breakfast later, one angry phone call to the oh to find out I had been conned!!!
Roxy also does the fly come to me churps which are long and loud.
My favourite has got to be the let me into the bathroom churps while you are using the loo, if I am in on my own I leave the door open and they come and talk to me while I am in there! one day I will sit and talk to them when they are using the tray see how they like that

Maybe it's a breeder thing - mine prurip more than chirp and they came from the same place as Pansy P I believe! We've really only got three regular prurips:
1) it's witching hour mode, stand clear, the stampeding wildebeest are coming through and they're all wearing Doc Martins
2) I demand fuss immediately
3) are you going to stop typing so that I can sit on your keyboard?
We also have the less commonly heard dog prurip, where Freyja leads you to believe you're getting a standard issue prurip but cunningly finishes it with what can only be described as a high pitched dog bark. Extraordinary noise, hearing a Ruff sound coming from your giant kitten's mouth.
Demands for food tend to be the more traditional meow in our house.
Sounds like you may have found a niche in the market for chirp/prirup to English dictionary!

Oh dear, miaows, chirps, purrips what next!
Wonder what language I can use to say 'naughty tortie'?
I can only keep working on it , probably have to write a Dictionary myself.

My 2 prurip and squeak, pretty much everything Theo says is food related! Chloe says "good morning", "wake up", "hi", "hello" and various other words which I can't find in the dictionary - most of these she says whilst running around at top speed like a lunatic, whilst I cower hoping I don't get hurt during the madness!
It seems Chloe has been looking at my dictionary, she has learnt the phrases "back in a minute" and "look how pretty you are" - she really loves that one!
They have such adorable little voices, it's a joy every time they speak!

I have some language you could use for naughty tortie but I'm pretty sure it's not allowed on the forum!
I'd forgotten that Wicca's got her own odd little sound - she makes this funny little lamb-like bleating noise when she's trying to get INSIDE your body for cuddles; when a lap, chest, throat or head is simply not close enough. Very cute, but very odd.
Think that means one cat has read the dog manual and the other has read the sheep one. Elizabeth, if you could get a wriggle on with the MC book I'd be ever so grateful - mine are heading for identity-crisis therapy otherwise!
