Id searched the net and found the two i wanted, bro & sis from same breeder, and REALLY wanted to be with the brown tabby. (see photos below linked from breeders site).
Well worth it. As I type this Storvenn is sat on my lap cleaning himself.

We drove appx 2 hours each way for our Birman and 1 hour each way for the MC mix I rescued. Unfortunately the little MC mix died last month from FIP. He was only 6 months old :-(
So now I'm researching MC breeders.
Well...the Netherlands is a small country. I am from the US so everwhere here is close to me. We drove around 120 km round trip to collect our MC tortiseshell Samantha.
Our breeder was about 30 minutes from us. Very lucky! In fact there are a couple of them in that proximity.
:shy:
We drove 3 1/2 hours each way, from Oregon City, Oregon to Yakima, Washington.
Long way it seemed and waited for years to get our 2 male littermate Maine Coon kittens.
We liked the breeder, researched quite a few and waited years until she had a red available.
Now for our Newfie puppy we had to get him all the way from Belgium Europe to the west coast of America! Orka's breeder flew him over and lived with us for 2 weeks, training us how to train him, and we showing her the sights.
When I started out I thought it would be easy and we'd get our furries from breeders in Portland. No such luck! It was all worth it because we are extremely happy with our 3 wonderful furkids.
