Good to get the update, Rach. Poor little Gracie - is it difficult with her stitches with Monty about? I'd imagine it's a good sign that she's up for a bit of wrestling though, might mean she's feeling better in herself. Not great with the stitches obviously, but a good sign all the same. Sounds like the antibiotics are having an effect - will be thinking of her and hope she's back to her old self soon x

Thanks Karen, Howlin and Antonia!
It's not too bad with her stitches and the Monster as she's pretty good at batting him away if he's being a bit too boisterous - we've had to have a few "time out" moments but on the whole it's been a lot better than expected. Anyway, I've no doubt she'll be getting her own back when he has his nads removed in a few months :-D
She's been a lot brighter so far this afternoon/evening. Got her tablet down her without a fight and she's currently purring away whilst grooming herself so fingers crossed she's on the up x

All safe & sound
Sounds as if Gracie is on the mend bless her,I think she was still brewing something & the GA didn't help, would still like to know if they checked her temperature before admitting her,all of ours come through with their parents for a good check over before their op & slightest raise in temp.even if they seem bright they are sent home to wait for a couple of weeks. If everything is ok the vet waves their paw to parents before whisking them off to their hospital bed.....
Fingers crossed that the progress is kept up x

Thanks JCK, not sure if Gracie's temperature was taken before the op, unfortunately I was unable to drop her off at the vets myself as I had to be at work so hubby did the honours. No real way of knowing unfortunately although when I dropped of my previous kitty (RIP) for an op to remove his tumour he was just whisked away. I want to come to your practice, I love the mental image of the vet waving their paws to the owners - that's so cute!
Just to let you all know, Gracie does seem so much better today and I hope I'm not tempting fate, but I haven't heard her cough at all since I've been home - must have been all those good luck wishes and virtual cuddles from you guys, thanks so much

All sounding better & better for Gracie, keep us posted.
I wish you could come to our practice, perhaps we could turn it into one for just MC's,I have to admit it is one time when its great being a small concern because even if I say so myself it is a pretty friendly place....
