Only downside is the breeder I chose is 590 miles from my house each way. So now I'm deciding whether to drive down, stay overnight then drive back or fly there and back in one day.
What would you guys suggest?
Thanks. :)

Hmm... I guess it might depend on several things. One, are there good major airports both near your house and where the MC is? Two, does the breeder think your new cat is up for a drive that long? I'm guessing long distance driving at such a young age really varies on the cats demeanor... Three, is there a family member that would be able to join you on the trip to help keep the baby peaceful for such a long ride, if that were decided to be best?
Being a brand new baby to you and all, I do agree with candes about the flying part... but I'm training my Edmund to like being in the car because I'm planning an 850 mile each way drive to see my brother at Christmas and will be taking him with me! If he can make that okay, I would like to take him with me when I drive even longer on a trip in February... I'm crossing my fingers! So far he does wonderful around town, but we'll see how he continues to fair with the training!
Mainecoon or ours love the car they are good travelers, mine have travelled over 1,500 miles and they did not make a sound and the first one was brought over in heat of over 32 degrees...
I think its all about getting them used to it. My vet is a good 21 minutes away both way, and so they have too
Forgot to say congratulations on your new kitty
Thanks for the comments. I decided to fly (it's 90 mins each way) but the kitten will be in the car for about 2.5 hours before we get to the airport.I live about 20 mins from my local airport. So about 4.5 hours travel time for Mr. Kitty (name undecided) compared to 10 hours in the car.
The litter was born the week of September 19th and there were 10 kittens in one litter!! Not sure which one will be mine yet as I am the last to choose because I was the last one to contact the breeder. Mr. Kitty will be released on Dec 19th.
