I've not heard that they are poor jumpers. Certainly my 2 are very good at it! Especially Monty. He can jump clean onto the kitchen counter with inches to spare. Yesterday, he way overjumped onto the kitchen table, because he wanted to miss the fruit bowl, but he still landed with his back paws in it! He can also leap from the counter to the table, a fair distance of 5 or 6 feet. It's wonderful to see such an athletic creature, after being used to elderly moggies with dodgy back legs! Sounds like Teddy Bearz is a long, gangly, unco-ordinated clumsy clown of a cat, and he's having a lot of fun! Maybe he'll improve with practice. It took ages for Larry to learn how to jump. He's not as good as his brother, but he's not bad.

This is where I spotted Minnie and Monty yesterday evening. It immediately made me think of this thread, so of course I grabbed the camera.
That cupboard is about 2.3 metres tall. They reach the top from the open staircase next to it. The distance from the top shelf to the ceiling is about 10 cm... El Monto had to flatten himself almost to the thickness of a plaice.

Love these pics Anna, Monty's looking very pleased with himself and very excited to be up so high! Aren't they funny, they do make us laugh so with their antics. As I've said before, it's better than telly.

Stunt MC, I like it. Has he got little bengal-type spots on his belly or is it just the camera angle? You've managed to catch his little ears just right - you can clearly wisps and tips against the bannisters. Does he try to slip through the bars and actually stand on the top of the door then?
