What a star Merl is and how laid back is he!!
I guess his stand was the most visited given he was there looking handsome I would not have been able to resist him, I am amazed no one tried to catnap him I'm sure I would have tried to hid him under my coat
One little thing they dropped the "L" some time ago I found this out when being involved in a deal they were doing with one of my suppliers and made the mistake of putting that in an email..whoops
But well done Merl.

That's very impressive Jackie, wonderful that he is content to sit tight and soak up the admiration! As other posters have said, not many cats would do this! I hope your stall did well for the CP. Is that you in the red jumper, btw?

Fund raising Merl
Yep thats me in the jumper, not brave enough to appear fully on camera, just had a phone call from Merls breeder to say that a husband & wife team who spent a long time getting to know about him & his breed had already been in touch with her yesterday & had been to see all her cats, looked in on some babies & have just phoned this morning to say they were on their way over with a deposit.....Sales rep as well bless him,not the first time he has sold one of our favourite breeds & through that has made us new friends as well !
Thats weird about the "L" Helen,I still put it in when I need to find the site, can never remember the local one & forget to put into favourites everytime & all the vouchers come through to work with that still on,will ask about it.

What a fantastic cat you have there!!!!!!
I have only just been able to type after reading the previous entries and imagining shredded eyeballs and missing hair and absolutely wetting myself with laughter.
None of mine would put up with any of that and I can imagine the carnage that would be left behind if it was my three treasures in that situation - it would be like someone had gone through the place with a sword!!!
This comes to mind from Monty Python

Fund raising Merl
Thanks Heather, perhaps we could start a new program Merlie Python....!
I have to say he is not so good at home,no where near Mr Perfect but for some weird reason when he is out he behaves like that,he only has to hear the word "Arhhh" & he stretches his front legs out, spreads his toes & justs look at the people expecting due respect & gets it,he turns into a normal thundering, tearing up paper, spiking your just washed hair, upsetting the others by pinching toys MC when he gets home, thankfully, wouldn't want him that well behaved all the time....x

Yes £1 per cuddle next time! I like his bed by the way - looks very comfy and portable.

What a lovely idea and such a sweet boy, People always want to touch and pet the cats at shows and they aren't alowed to, it would be so much nicer for them if there was a charity stall with a 'pat cat' for them to enjoy and donate money like at your tombola
