Thread: Katzecure - Cat Fencing for cat breeders and cat owners

I saw this today and thought I'd share. Seems like a better idea than fitting high and electric fences. Not sure how effective it is though,.

KATZECURE - works by positioning one or two wooden poles onto existing or new garden fences and walls. The poles work by rotating when touched, denying the cat the necessary grip as it attempts to climb the fence. This simple mechanism prevents the cat from gaining the ‘pawhold’ that it needs to scale and jump over.

I wonder if it is really 100% cat proof... I don't know, but I don't think I'd trust it. At this moment, we're living in an apartment and we made our balcony completely catproof, (with a non-electric fence that covers the entire balcony), and when we move to a house, we're going to build something like this, but bigger, so we can sit inside it ourselves together with the cats:

Yeah not sure about the Katzecure,though it seems like a good option for people who want minimalistic cat fencing, coz it does blend in with your garden.

Id like to hear from people who actually use this to see how effective it is.

I'm having this installed Mon / Tues next week as the perimeter fence needed replacing anyway. I'll let you know shortly thereafter if I have any runaways.

Hmm....I can see it working to a greater extent, though I can also imagine some particularly clever cats defeating it one way or another. Will be interested to see how you get on with it CL, defintely something I would consider in the future.

I'm prepared for Jock the escapologist managing to get over it but hopeful that he won't. As I said, the fence needed doing anyway so I may as well do all I can to contain them. It will lessen the guilt tripping for me should any of them get into mischief in the big bad world. Not sure what my old moggie will make of it as he has had free reign of the neighbourhood for years. Although he has never strayed far or out front of house he has been entirely free to choose.

No doubt I'll be sent to Coventry again by him.
