Is two too much?
I live in a pretty big 2 bedroom apartment. Moshi is such a darling, but I worry she gets lonely. She has Smudge (my rattie) for company, but obviously they don't play together (and Moshi is scared of her when she's out of her cage!).
Moshi is an indoor cat and seems quite content to be so. She has her funny half hour each day when she rushes about, but other than that she's seems ok.
I had thought of getting her a friend, but the question is:
Is two indoor MCs in a two bedroom apartment too much?
Would appreciate your thoughts :-)

I think 2 is just perfect! Admittedly it is double the cost but they will keep each other company and doing it whilst they're young is much easier.

Is two too much
I would say no problem, two are not going to take up much more room than one the only thing that springs to mind is another tray would be needed,if that is no problem go for it...!

I guess I'm a bit worried that it might affect Moshi some how. Shes very shy (not with me, but with others) and I'd hate it if it made her uncomfortable. I'm probably worrying about nothing lol!

I think it would be a lovely idea to get Moshi a friend/playmate. I would get a kitten. Sometimes adult cats will really take to a young kitten, and a kitten is very non-threatening. I've seen siutations where an adult female cat adopts the new kitten and mothers him or her. My brother once had an adult female cat and adoptted a stray kitten. The kitten had fleas, so my brother gave him a bath. His adult female heard the ktiten screaming (he didn't card much for the bath), came running in, took over and licked the kitten dry. They were inseparable from then on.

Two should be fine. We live in a small 2 bedroom cottage and we now have 4 Coonies!!
They are all house cats and are great company for each other during the day when we are in work. I have built a covered run attached to the house, which they have access to during the day and a fenced off area which they use when we are home.
We added each kitten to the gang at 2 to 3 months intervals and the oldest cat was a bit "funny" at first but now loves the company of the 3 kittens!!

Friend of a friend has 5 in a large 3 bedroom appt. They are fine together and love the wooden floors to slide on :)

Thanks chaps :-) Moshi is only 7 months old, so would get a younger kitten for her, so she doesn't feel like the baby. As for wooden floors, Peter, Moshi has her slide down to a fine art! It's one of her favourite games, for me to throw her ball across the hallway and for her to slide from end to end! She locks herself into a little crouch and off she goes. It's hilarious!!
