Do you think she's a Maine Coon mix?
Hey guys, just joined the forum last night, so I am new here I had previously posted a thread about whether my kitten could be a Maine Coon/Maine Coon mix but did not receive any answers. Maybe I'll have better luck here. I recently adopted my kitten Ginger, and well there have been a few people tell me that she looks like she has some Maine Coon in her. Now I would like to know what you guys think, I'd appreciate some answers. (I've attached pictures) Thanks in advance! <3

Hi and welcome... Ginger certainly looks like a MC to me or at least a first cross, the MC gene seems to be quite strong as I've seen quite a few half bred kittens for sale on the web and they all have 'the' look. As she grows up you will have more clues as to her breeding, but she is a gorgeous kitten regardless.

Yes, I am guessing there is possibly many cross breeds out there. I never really noticed anything on her till someone pointed it out. Just March 11 my kitten Callie past away, she would have been 6 months right now. I was heartbroken, and so I went ahead and adopted Ginger (not to replace Callie of course). Ginger is precious and likes to talk to me, which i find adorable. I will always miss Callie, we had a special bond. Here is a pic of Callie RIP my angel! :'(

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Ginger is simply gorgeous and certainly shows a lot of MC physical traits even at this early age! So sorry to hear about Callie - she was such a sweet looking kitty, you must be devastated at her sudden passing (((hugs))). We lost our beloved Louis at 16 years old to cancer last year and the house was just so horrifically quiet without him. He will always have a very special place in our hearts but our two mischievous coonie kittens have certainly helped with the healing process.
Look forward to seeing more pics soon x

Hello and thank you Rachel! Yes I was and still am very devastated :( No matter what I do she always comes to my mind, and I have also caught myself calling Ginger Callie's name, it just happens. But Ginger is also helping the healing process, they all have their different personalities, Ginger likes to talk to me, every time I speak to her she responds back....or if she just wants to be caressed she will be sure to let me know. I will keep posting pics as she grows, I just need to figure out how to upload pics to my gallery which I will manage to get soon lol Sorry for your loss as well :( By the way, your two MC are soooo cute!

Do you think she is a MC mix
Hello to both you & Ginger,so sorry about Callie she looked a stunning girl,it is hard loosing any of our pets but when they are so young it leaves you with that added unfilled feeling of "what could have been"....x
Ginger certainly has that gangly appearance of a MC babe & a long tail & the talking to you ties in with perhaps there being some MC blood in her veins,as said by others wether it be yes or no she is a little stunner so stay on here & keep us updated....
