Cat Litter Trays
I have been looking around at a cat litter trays and am amazed at how many different types you can get. I want a hooded one - my breeder has them and the kitten is used to using the flap door so that's no a problem. I have been looking at one at Pets at Home, it's pricey for a litter tray though and wondered what you all are using. Do you have any recommendations for any make in particular?

Well, we have this for Hank: Cat House Toilet - Jumbo
I couldn't believe how big it was (as you can see our 2 year old can fit inside it), but I guess it's good for when Hank gets a lot bigger. I think we made a good choiceAdd me on Facebook : Ria Brown

I have two big open top plastic trays.
We have a downstairs toilet / shower room with an extrator fan which comes on when the light is turned on. The trays sit in this room and, as its the only toilet downstairs, the trays get emptied pretty frequently as myself and my wife, and two 'teen' kids use the loo. The litter is the type you can just flush down the loo so its very easy to empty the trays 2 - 3 times a day, which always seems to draw the attention of them both

Thanks guys. I like both the ones you have put pictures up. I guess it's a good idea to get a big one now - being a boy he will probably be quite big as an adult. I like the sound of the litter you can flush straight down the toilet - how easy is that!

I want to get one of those when we get Gryfn.
Currently we have an open tray for our other cats, but I'm really tired of the cat litter always getting spread everywhere or the cats missing the tray.

Our breeder also recommended a hooded tray for Maine Coons.
She has this one. I don't think it's as big as Ria's tray though
Great deals on cat litter boxes and kitty litter at zooplus: Cat Toilet Bill
At the moment we have decided to give the "Litter Kwitter" a shot and Winston is just on the red stage at the moment using it as a normal litter tray.

I looked at that one but thought it didn't look big enough. My breeder uses these:
HAGEN CAT-IT LITTER TRAY --- Purrsonal Touch
I think I might go for this one. I've also been told Worlds Best cat litter is the best one to get - more expensive but it lasts longer apparently and can be flushed down the toilet.
I think yours looks great Ria too. I'm a bit short of space though where I want to keep it so I have to be careful not to get one too big. The one from the link I put up has a very deep bottom which I like so if he digs to Australia like Hank it should stay in the box
