Thread: First night concerns

I have been having some worries as to where to leave Simba the first few nights he is with us. As I have two dogs I can't let him free in the house until I'm sure they all get on. My dogs sleep upstairs with us but the doors are left open so they can go down when they want. I had an idea of using a large crate I had for when the dogs were puppies. I could put that in our bedroom with a bed, some toys and food and water and I can be sure the dogs won't hurt him and he will also be with us all which will help the dogs get to know him more. What do you think of this idea? Also should I leave a litter tray in the crate with him or take him out to a litter tray in the bathroom during the night. If I leave it out then how often should I take him out the crate during the night to see if he needs the toilet?
