Klaus & Anika
We are picking up our two new babies from the shelter on Saturday - we will be renaming them Klaus and Anika (brother and sister)
We were told that they are Maine Coons - which I'm sure they mean a mix. We've never had a Maine Coon before but love what we are reading about their fun personalities.
Looking forward to learning and sharing here.

I will definitely be posting more photos on Saturday when we finally get to bring them home. It's so hard to believe that these 2 little cuties were so close to being euthanized. I'm just so thankful that somehow they came across our paths and now will be part of our family.
We recently (1 month ago) lost a cat we had rescued a year ago - she was only 1 year old and died from feline leukemia/lymphoma. That may be the worst thing I've ever gone through! We raised her from 4 weeks old - bottle fed her and she died within 2 months of diagnosis.
These two little babies will bring joy back to our home though and we can't wait!

So sorry for your loss. Young or old, we all know how difficult it is to losing our furbabies. An Angel was watching over these little ones and they found a forever home.

Well....our little ones caught a cold so we can't pick them up until Monday.....we are going crazy here waiting for them! I'm thinking of buying pet insurance for them. Do any of you have policies on your kittens? I've read really good things about Embrace - not cheap though!

Sorry that you have to wait longer but it's better to have them healthy before you pick them up. I totally know how it feels waiting for these cute munchkins. I've got to wait until next Thursday to pick ours up. Time seems to be ticking along veryyyyy slooooowwwww..LOL!!
I have had pet insurance before but it didn't pay off. In the end, I had paid more in premiums, than what I had used it for, KWIM? I think it really depends on whether the kittens will be indoor or outdoor. I would think you can buy the basic plan for an indoor and needing to buy something that will cover emerg. if they will be outdoor.
It's nice to have pet insurance for the peace of mind. I am thinking of getting the middle range for both Tequila and Maya. It depends on what is covered and how much it will cost for 2.
