She's lovely - and as Musicalife says - a naughty tortie! Don't be fooled by their cuteness - we've got 2 torties and they are both extremely naughty!! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with her

We automatically inform clients that when they find a new vets to get them to phone us & we transfer all notes over so you should have no problems with that.
I agree about getting to know your local vet as soon as possible as you want to feel comfortable if you have a sudden emergency but when I took on my adult re home girl I was pleased she had been spayed at her previous owners vets although her breeder was very embarrassed at the amount of hair they had clipped off her side especially knowing where I worked. Its a bit upsetting for them leaving their home anyway & I didn't think it fair to get her back settle her for a few days & then whisk her off for an op,yep they soon get over it but I felt it was one hurdle not needed for her at that point. Nasties over within the environment she knew & a nice new mum & dad to take the hurt away afterwards.....
If you did decide to do it that way you could always just make a quick health check appointment at your new vets to introduce both yourself & her to the practice.
Luv her name by the way,bit of a mouthful but very different & I think it suits a nortie tortie although at the moment my tortie hasn't been tooooooo bad but will continue not to hold my breath & with cables my odds were one out of seven but that one made us have to use cable protectors....!

Thanks for your advice, her name is a bit long which is why I think they call her Rommie which I like, also doesn't sound anything like dinner or food, as my ex had a kitten we started to call ninja but realised ninja and dinner sound very alike so didn't want to think she was getting fed when we called her.
I am leaning more to having my local vet do the work, as MC meant to be done 6-12 months from what I have read on other threads, so can give her a month or so to settle in before taking her to the vets for that.
But I will book into the vets for a visit, register, checkup etc once I have her.
I am not too worried about the TV for cables as all of the cabling is in the back of the fireplace along with all the home theatre stuff, but the speaker cables to the rear speakers are all under the carpet but come out in the corners so going to need to do something there, my biggest concern is my study with 4 computers, 2 monitors, desk lamps that is a lot of cable so need to think of a way to hide that, so suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
Kimbie

Don't forget to remove any ornaments too - our are terrors with anything they can knock over/pick up and carry off etc! Many times I've come out of the bedroom to be welcomed by an empty yoghurt pot that I've left in the kitchen until I got around to putting it in the recycling bin!! And it was one of those naughty torties who did it

That is a beautiful girl... I love the very dark torties.
Have you met her "in the flesh" yet? Of course the real proof of the pudding is meeting them in real life to see if there's a connection between you and her. When we went to look at a litter for the first time there were two girls still available, a black torbie and a blue torbie. From the pictures I had a preference for the darker girl, but when we met them in person it was her blue sister who clearly chose us - no doubt about it. So that's how we got our Tatjana (a name almost as long as Andromeda but I only use her full name when she's being a naughty tortie, lol).
As others have pointed out, you will have to place breakables out of reach. As for cables, our cats are awfully good with them. They're allowed in the office where the computers and stuff are, and they won't touch the cables (they do walk across keyboards and paw at screens though). But every cat is different and you will have to keep an eye out to see whether she's interested in the cables or not.
Best of luck, and I am curious as to how your first meeting with her will go!

Not seen her yet, going to see her next week, Monday hopefully if all goes well pay the deposit do all the contract paperwork, then pick her up in about two weeks assuming all goes well means I can get wed, thur, fri off and spend 5 days with her settling her in before leaving her for work etc.
Once she is settled will get the vets booked for a registration, get her microchipped etc then neutered when she is a bit older.
The breeder has sent me some more pics of her and she is very lovely, but going to hold off putting too many pics up till I have her home and get some of my own, best make sure I leave my camera out when she is home so can take photos of those unique times.
With her being nearly 19 weeks when I get her, should I still weigh her and measure her on a daily basis to make sure she is healthy and not loosing any weight?
Thanks
Kimbie

She’s scrumptious... look at that tail!
Weighing once a week, particulalry in her first year, is absolutely a good thing. It helps monitoring her health. And it’s fun too… if you are the geek you say you are you’ll probably enter the weights into Excel and make a growth chart (being something of a geekette myself, I did).
So you work away from home and she’ll be on her own during the day? I see a second kitty on the horizon.
