I think Sampson will warm to the kitten... Sampson is weird when it comes to warming to things... he had his own comfort blanket for a while, well, it was an old coat... but he dragged it everywhere around the home for a while.

Dont know about UK prices for a MC, but my purebred Pumpkin cost $1200.00 which is average for a good quality MC in Australia.

I think £550 for the UK is pretty standard for good quality MC's and I am more than happy to pay that to Majesticoon, especially after visiting there and seeing there MC's!! Was so hard to leave and also know I had to wait like a year till I could get my 2!! So happy I can now get them and maybe even for Xmas which would be a great present hehe. You can get MC's for £200-250 but I would be highly dubious about their quality and how they have been bought up etc. I know with Majesticoon that they are well bought up and cared for in their first 13 weeks as when I visited the ones there came and said hello without being scared or anything and then one of them sat on my Mum and another curled up next to me and fell asleep
So I really can't wait and I will be bombarding the forum with pics too lol.
