Well Valdez I would say there is a "big hope" for you becoming a feline person once you have a MC in the household I personally had always been for canine & no one is more surprised than me at falling so deeply for these cats, the fact they are not only large in size but character too just wins you over......
With feeding whatever you feel happy with is the order of the day,if you do decide to feed dry make sure it is one of the good makes if you decide BARF is for you there are people who can give good advice on raw food feeding me I go the old fashioned way tinned food {not the most expensive on the market either} & a bit of dry food with it but it doesn't make up the main part of their meals.....
Just checked carrier & quite honestly would go for a wire one with lift up lid, very safe & if you are unlucky enough to have one that doesn't like going in or is unfortunate enough to hurt itself they are a lot easier for getting cat into....having so many I also have a fold away canvas {dog sized} carrier but would never put any cat into it before I was sure they were good safe travelling cats, all mine start off in a good ole reliable wire one......
Thanks to puzzles for posting for me add nail clippers to the grooming kit too .....
When are photos going to appear too please.....x

Thanks for all the reply.
As for the carrier I don't have enough space for wire one. So we went for this plastic one. I've seen positive MC opinions about them so we will try. Especially that they are on half price in our local pampurred pet store.
I have been yesterday on a cuddle session now I'm covered in scratches as it was play time. It seems we will have a furr-energy ball:-P why cuddle if you can play?
I tried to make a picture but lighting was not great. And need to find way to post pictures :-P after work...

Hey I agree with Jackie, definitely get one with a lift up lid. It came in handy when I had Ginger spayed, to get her back in the carrier for her trip home the lid just popped off. The only thing I did wrong (okay maybe one of the many hahaha) was I did not anticipate how large she was going to get, now I need a medium size carrier as the first one is much to small :(. It would be like stuffing a marshmallow through a straw. Not very comfortable for her trip to the vet, and lets just say she is not too crazy about car rides anyhow. Good luck with your choice. Every thing is a learning experience, eventually we all get it right

I am going for 2 of these beasts as they are both top opening and front opening. You can also take off the feeding trays so you can actually put your hand in and comfort the cat which I think is great.

This one I got is quite similar to this. I did not choose model with open crate on the top as it looks ... well .. not sturdy enough. But in you can take the whole upper part of and then you can even use it as a bed. The reason why I choose this over wire one is that I needed something to carry in hand and in the car, and my trip with them will not be longer then 15 minutes (after the first one). If this will not work I will find different one.
Weee! Pictures!
So on this one our Pixie is this dark one in the back
And this young gentleman will be called Whiskey and he is coming from the rescue home, and it is just a lovely furball mostly interesting in eating. Not necessarily food :P

They are both so adorable! Can't wait to see more pictures as they grow. I especially love the name Whiskey as our that is our MC's name. He too is into eating everything & anything.

Hello
Kitten is here. I brought her home yesterday. Whole evening was kind of a stand down. She was hiding behind sofa or cat tree I was sitting in opposite side of the room. She came out to play then explore for a moment crying all the time, then went to hide and sleep a bit. Then she came out to play, went to do a bigger business in a litter box and was ready to play and explore with new energy. At night not much sleep for my misses as she have lighter sleep and is not covered with duvet as good as me:P
Now they both are sleeping, not so much crying anymore. She is so cute and lovely.
Here is some pictures.
