Maine Coon colouring
Hi
I've just joined this forum but find that most of the information very useful as Cassie is our first MC and it's good to know that some of her traits are common amongst the MC breed.
What I have noticed is her colouring is changing and I wondered if this is normal and when it is likely to stop. She is 9 months and when we got her at 13 weeks she was a silver and white mackerel which has now got touches of cream mainly down the right hand side.

It's possible but not common. It's likely that the breeder didn't quite get the colouring right. Does she have any black colourations anywhere?

Hi
I have hopefully attached a few photos of when she was 8 weeks old and ones taken today at 9½ months.
On her right side a lot of the stripes that were dark grey are more of a ginger/cream, and the spot on her neck was the same colour as the stripe running down her back. One her face the cream is more prominent on the tip of her nose.
This is more an inquisitive question as it makes no difference - we love her to bits and wouldn't have her any other way.

Colouring
Hi,she has got what is commonly known as tarnish on her nose & coat, silvers do have that problem quite a lot,my boy who is also a silver mackerel has exactly the same so she hasn't changed colour, she looks gorgeous.
There that was easy once we could see her.

Awwwwwww she's lovely
Louie has some round his nose & when he was stretched out in a sunbeam the other day you could see a hint of it on his tummy. His grandma is a brown tabby so eventhough his mum & dad are both silver he must have inherited from his mum, still would'nt have him anyother way though well maybe a little less crazy

Thanks for all your comments. Her dad was a silver tabby and her mum was silver / cream so this will be where she takes it from.
Just like many other members here have said about their MCs, we do get a lot of comments from people of how gorgeous she looks and unusual her colouring is as well as many offers to take her home.
Although my daughter has just pointed out that the photo of her looking straight at the camera makes her look a little cock-eyed - you just got to love her.
