PAT cats
Has anyone ever used their MC as a PAT cat? My mother, whose dog is a PAT dog visits an old peoples home once a week and a lot of the residence there love cats and would love to have a visit from one. She suggested when Simba is a bit older he would make a wonderful PAT cat as he is so cuddly and gentle. Would be interested if anyone has done this though? I would have to get him trained to the harness though

Not sure what a PAT cat is exactly, but I gather it is to visit the sick and elderly. One of our breeders did that with one of her big male MCs, Barney. Here is a link to some info about that: Certified Therapy Pet, Barney

Milo used to be a Pat Cat it was realy nice listening to the storys from the people he used to visit, some of who had alzheimer's loved him & used to cuddle him while telling me all about there kitten/cats in their lifes.
I did'nt like takeing him in the summer as the home was very, very warm but MC's are definately the breed for the job.
Welcome to Pets As Therapy one thing I will advise though is get a harness
