Best food bowl
Hello,
im looking for some advice as to where to get a good food dish/bowl for our Maine coon. We inherited a plastic bowl which we'd like to get rid of as soon as possible - read that ceramic or stainless steel are best but also to get a wide shallow bowl to avoid whisker collision ☺️ So bought a dish online which has turned it to be rather deeper and smaller than we'd thought. Would love to hear from others who've found good quality bowls that are really appropriate for cats.
Thank you

Plastic not good at all so yep get rid as soon as you can, best thing is to go into a good pet shop & look round, we have stainless steel ones some about an 1" deep & the others
1.5" deep & you can get various widths so just go for the size that suits you & your cat......xxx

Thank you for your reply The bowls you have - do you remember where you got them from? We've been looking at a few in local pet stores but there didn't seem to be much choice... They all seemed deeper and smaller than we've come to believe would be good.
Thanks again

Our original ones came from Pets at Home 16 years ago !!!!!!! but when furries went up in numbers & we wanted more they didn't have them & another little pet shop {sadly also now gone} got some in for us, I am no good at attaching links, sorry but if you google Classic shallow metal dish for cats that is the nearest I can find to what we have,it is slightly smaller than ours but might give you an idea, don't go for the same named ones that hold 250mls as they are a lot deeper, also if you decide to try one look around on Amazon they were a horrific price but other places sold them dirt cheap, good luck hope you can find something, the length of time we have had ours says it all......xxx

Thank you so much for your reply ☺️ I'll have a good hunt around via Google and hopefully find some. 16 years isn't a bad investment! Thank you again, it's much appreciated.
