scratching posts
Can anyone recommend some good scratching posts. Apart from the large banana tree which has lasted well I have a couple of other small ones dotted around the house but Simba has destroyed them. The string at the bottom has all come off and I have tried fixing it but he just rips it off again. I need to buy some more but wonder if there were some MC indestructible ones out there

We got Harry's from Pets at Home. Hubby went into get a few bits before we collected him and picked up what he thought was a large scratch post. When he got to the till and talking to the sales assistant she suggested he needed a bigger one than he had so he got one very similar to the one in the link.

Since then we have bought him the second one, which he very rarely uses, certainly not as a scratch post, considering there are 4 posts to choose from. If he scratches then it is on the orginal post.

Thanks for that - the top one looks good and not a bad price either. I saw this one and thought Simba might like it as he is always playing on the stairs. The one I want to replace is for my bedroom - he uses it a lot in the mornings which is why it was destroyed I think. The base was made from string and it just all came unwound so I think I'll get a carpet base next time.

I've just got a cat tower similar to heathers. The cats scratch on the sisal posts, though gryfn does go out to the cat run and likes to scratch on the small palm tree out there....I might have to fence it off.
DH has got a lovely log out in the shed that still has the bark on it, so i want to pinch/borrow it for the cat run for the cats to scratch!
