Unable to keep him :(
Hi,
Very sadly, due to unforeseen change in circumstances we are no longer able to keep our beautiful (see attached image) male red / silver Maine Coon cat born on 29 October 2010.
Is there anyone out there who would be willing to make us an offer for him and all his toys and bits and pieces. I have a Dogit Voyageur 400 Dog Travel Carrier Brown/White, Omega Paw litter tray, an Ancol Fat Boy Cat Scratch Post, a furminator and another very good cat brush.
He has been treated lovinly and is a very happy and social cat.
Please call me on 07769 326 037 if you are interested, we are in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Many thanks from a heartbroken cat lover
Anthony

Unable to keep him
Oh my word,I really feel so sorry for you having to give up what is obviously a fantastic & loved pet. Have you been back in touch with the breeder to make sure they can't offer help with rehoming most of them like to keep tabs on their babies.
He looks a wonderful big boy, I do hope you can soon get sorted & also be able to keep contact with the new owners if that is what you would like. Please keep us updated on here as to the outcome,it has made me go all cold just trying to imagine how I would feel if I had to give up any of mine for whatever reason, will think of you both.

Hi
Yes do contact the breeder, before you rehome your kitty, he looks a lovely chap. Also give his pedigree name out, as some people are much more attracted to some lines than others; is he nuetered yet as that ameks a difference in how much someone will apy and their readiness to rehome.
Good luck

Big hugs to you and a real shame. If I didn't have my three boys I would be talking to you.
But do contact the breeder, while it doesn't seem important at a time like this you may find the contract requires you to offer the cat back to them for "first refusal". Usually to protect the welfare of the cats.

No papers!
Hi,
Since I didn't want to breed or show Wiley, I didn't bother looking for a breeder who registered the kittens with a pedigree and although she assured me they are thoroughbreds and I did see mum and dad, I don't have any papers for Wiley.
He is currently not neutered as I think he is still a little young for that, my vet suggested when he got his adult teeth he should be OK to neuter.
I didn't particularly like the breeder since I thought Wiley was under-weight when I got him, he certainly has fattened up since then though! I think his "talking" and his playfulness are the things I will miss most, nevermind the non-stop purring when I come close.
Thanks for all your comments and help, the next step will be an advert in a small ads type site.
Best regards
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Good idea if the breeder is letting a Mainecoon kitten go with with our papers, they might not be interested, plus the fact that he was underweight too, would be a shame to return him to somewhere that may not give him one to one care like you have.
Did you get him at 13 weeks old ?
I hope you find a good home for him soon.. Good Luck, it might be best if he is full Maine coon to take a look also on the breed sites of the Mainecoon clubs and see if someone is looking for a Maine coon as a pet.
