Moving forward for 2011
Hi All,
It dawned on me earlier today we don't have a problems and suggestions forum.. Not sure who I got away for so long without that being there but regardless you'll notice there is now the new forum so please any difficulties, questions, and suggestions to make the forum better should go in there.
The growth of MCF has been quite slow over the past few months, and I really hope to advance the forum in different ways now we're into the new year.
For a start we had a arcade system, which unfortunately didn't work all the time and I know a few of you liked that so will replace that. I will be considering updating the forum software itself so we can have more 'social website' features that interact with other sites like Facebook and Twitter. So for example if you find a particular thread useful, you will be able to click a familiar 'like' button to have that post feature on your Facebook profile.
Please let me know if you are an official Breeder and do not have a 'Breeder' badge next to your name on your posts. If you've been missed let me know and I will move you to the breeders user group.
Also to help bring more people to our site, can I ask you please if you happen to have your own website and a links area, please consider linking to MCF as it really does help our exposure to appear in search results when people are looking for Maine Coon related searches. That will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all :-)

Hi Dave
Thanks for this.
I have a knitting website, and for what it's worth I'd be delighted to link to the MC forum.
Cheers

PS. Just had a look at your site, excellent work!! They look good enough to eat, I had to look twice to check they aren't edible lol
Thanks Louisa

I think having a facebook profile that could be 'liked' is a great idea (with a link on the info page to this forum of course)..there is a large community of breeders on FB..we are all on there!
I don't have a breeders badge beside my name

Moving forward
Hi Dave ,
This is all sounding too high tec for me but as long as there is a help section, like Helen I have someone in the family who is good on these things but she now lives over 4 hours away so have to write a list of "help me's" for when she comes home, no doubt will find out how to do things eventually,I still have problems even now finding my way round the site & there has been occasions when I have found out something by default so obviously don't know how I ever got there.
One thing I noticed the other day, don't know if it was just me but Woodside when she posted under "breeder" you couldn't read the post unless you were logged in,I thought it had disappeared when I returned to check something but as soon as I logged on again it was there,or maybe that is done like that for a reason.
Will look forward to getting even more lost around the forum.
Jackie
