Saw a real Coon

At three in the morning I saw a racoon a block from my house.

As much as I wanted to get out and pet him, it would have been very foolhardy.

Denton County is perhaps the rabies capital of the US and racoons are carriers.

If I were bitten, the archaic laws might put my four cats at risk....if you are bitten and the infection is enough you have to visit the doctor, Animal Control ***will*** get involved and standard operating procedure is decapitate the suspect animal and ask questions later. :(

Yes, I have read they can carry rabies... plus they can be quite bad-tempered too.
