Whyemier, I love FL! Do you live on the Gulf side? We drove across Fl to the gulf and had shrimp on the Gulf of Mexico. It was awesome!!!!!

heehee believe me you don't .... I reckon bits of you might fall off if you do... I doubt if that lake ever gets warmer than 6 degrees (Ceclius.... I think that's 46 Farenheit) But it is SOOOOO beautiful, I think the best way to discribe the Scottish country-side is "powerful". And on a Harley it must be awsome!
Whymier, do you mow that lawn yourself? you have a nice place there! And is it Sidewinder we see scratching an itch behind the car?Last edited by Alekto; 2nd June 2013 at 08:24 AM.

Yes, Sidewinder walked into the frame as I was lining up the photo. I don't mow the property, my wife does, because she wants to. She says it is her 'therapy' to get out and work on the plants and dig up the ground and mow the meadow. She has the 'green thumb' all I do is kill the plants. Not that I want to but they don't seem to respond to my ministrations. If she didn't do it the property would all be Florida sand and only the bit around the house would get mowed. I go for a more natural look on the meadow.

We live about 6mi (between 9 & 10 Kilometers I think) from the gulf as the crow flies. Near Weeki Wachi, if you know where that is. We like it here where the mosquitoes are as big as birds (well sometimes you'd think) and roaches can carry away your sandwich and the wind can make your house airborne. It's a challenge doncha know.

Alekto, That may be a wee bit nipply, but we have what they call the polar bear plunge, where they cut a whole in the ice and swim in the lake in the middle of January! Yes it is not for long but it is fun for the first few seconds! The countryside is beautiful and there is nothing like getting in the wind and just riding!

Kim China pix would be great too! My hubby and I spent a week in Chandler last January and we had a great time! Our daughter lives there! My hubby used to live in Tequila Flats, so we pretty much cruised that area. I would love to go back and do more sight seeing though. The only down side to the trip was I got sick after I returned home with Valley fever. So maybe a face mask next time! hahaha
