Yep, Penny candy was great when it was two for a penny. I remember going into the little neighbor hood market and getting 100 pieces for a 50 cent piece (remember 50 cent pieces/half dollars?). I got sick many a time from too-much-candy. I felt cheated when in later years they only gave you one for a penny.

Don't know whats available these days, if its different from what was back then. These days I get what the wife likes and don't get what she don't like if you follow my reasoning. It's Dove Chocolate, Ginger candies (both of which I like), an occasional 'snickers' and I still by the Three Musketeers. Sometimes she gets Gheridelli (sp). Butwhat did I buy when I was young? Polar bar, lots of caramels, Three Musketeers, Wax whistles with 'kool-aid in them, but I don't bremember me anything extremely different. Possibly if someone named them I'd remember.

The only one I recognize there is the snicker, we have them over here, they used to be called marathon bars till they americanized them !! lol Oh and caramels are the same the world over, sticky and chewy and bad for the teeth !! lol
