Ginger's first holiday season
Happy Holidays everyone! I just put up the Christmas tree in the living room last night. No ornaments yet, just the tree with some lights on it. Miss Ginger came traipsing in the room and did a tree inspection. No climbing just walked around and checked it out. I might get brave enough to put some ornaments on it today. I think back to the days that I had two kittens and a small child. The tree was the most exciting thing. All of the ornaments were 3 feet off the floor to keep little fingers and paws away. So here is my question, does anyone know how to keep little or huge paws away from the glass ornaments? and what should I wrap the presents in that is indestructable to cat claws, she wears caps but she gets them off and I leave her thumbs and back feet uncovered? The OH says to wrap them in news paper, then for sure she would know they were from her hahaha!
What is this? a electric cord hmmmm I could play with this!Last edited by donnad; 30th November 2013 at 03:49 PM.

CeCe and Honey have never tried to tear up the wrapping. But I also like decorative boxes. The kitties are even interested in those.

Hahaha Alekto, I stopped using tinsel years ago when I destroyed a vacuum cleaning up pine needles and tinsel after I took my tree down. I am sure Miss Ginger would be down with some tinsel! That would be some great stuff to play with huh? I am going to hang some ornaments today, up the tree away from prying paws.
I am just waiting for some ornaments to play with!

Alekto, The Monster Ginger's new trick is to pry the heating vent cover off the floor, my hubby thinks she has Arnold Schwarzenegger paws hahaha so funny! Once she learns a trick she never forgets it!
