Are you being affected by the snow?
Well we are experiencing a very cold snap in Ireland...........the most protracted cold period in 30 years. I'm lucky in that I was off work until last Monday, but today I was unable to go in due to blizzard conditions in the Dublin City. The whole country has just ground to a halt.been watching some of the pictures from the U.K and it looks pretty worse over there, though at least the councils have a better handle on things then our guys this side of the pond!
My husband was let off work early today at 2.30 so we both headed into town. The weather got worse and we ended up being stranded as all local bus services were cancelled in the afternoon. We ended up having to walk home (with loads of others) due to awful traffic tailbacks and no bus service. Nearly ended up on my bum (am I allowed say that?) a few times :D
Heres a few pics I took today.

Well, I guess Im not affected as much as I work from home and my husband is also self employed. But we've have had about 6 inches of snow since yesterday. The bigger kids had been off school for 2 days, and theyre driving me crazy but theyre also loving playing in the snow (I must say Ive had a go at making a snow angel yesterday too haha).
I also fell on my a** today when I took a walk to the shops, much to my 9 year old sons' embarrasment. :(
The only thing Im a bit concerned about is food shopping, Ive tried Tesco/Sainsbury and Asda online and they wont be able to deliver until Sunday :( so I guess were going to have to brave it and drive out tommorow for supplies.Add me on Facebook : Ria Brown

Luckily our tesco's & Eurospar is just a short walk from us so we havn't had any problems getting food etc though some folks including my cousin have been snowed in for over a week.
I'm just hopping this won't continue until the 15th or we will certainly have to postpone picking Winston up. We have to travel half way across the country and I doubt my husband will take any chances in this weather!

Oh no, where will you be picking Winston up? Luckily the breeder is only about half an hour drive from us. Hopefully it'll be fine by then. (fingers crossed!!!)

I'm very lucky that I only live at a 10mins walk from my work, and that I can go to work and back home on foot. The roads are a mess over here, so every day it's one big chaos, especially with accidents happening very regularly due to the snow and ice. The pavements are very slippery as well, but if you walk carefully it's ok. Apart from that I'm not having any real problems due to the cold snap, though.

We have to drive to Roscrea in Co Tipperary which should take no more the 1.5 hrs but inland apparently the roads are pretty bad :(
It's a nice Polish family who have the small cattery. They also breed some British shorthairs alongside their Maine Coons.
Reyes de Selva - Cattery , hododowla Kotów
It prob would take me about 45 mins to walk to work but in the present conditions I don't think I'd chance it. may have to make an effort to attend work this evening though :(

Just had a look at the website, they have some lovely cats! Which one is Winston? I dont envy you having to drive so far to collect him, we did look further afield when searching for a kitten, but luckily we found a breeder thats not far from us. But I guess once you get him home, it'll be all worth it! :D
I am really excited as the days come nearer, it's like having a baby but without the labour pains haha. x

We originally were going to choose Cudy (the blue cream) but my husband fell in love with "Smoky Boy". He went to Hamley's in London as a child and he said he found this small little black &white beanie cat called "Winston Parade". he bought the cat and he still has it. Thats why he couldn't resist "Winston".
