She is a Shih tzu, we have always had dogs, but we re homed them all when we moved here as they where big dogs and in Germany they have rules about the dogs with training etc.
So I said when we were ready I would consider a small dog, we have only had bad experience with small dogs we had Jack russels for the rats and a westie which was my other daughters and they are very difficult to deal with, my friend here has a shih tzu so we went to the same breeder she got her dog from..

She is gorgeous - I'm sure that I should have gone for a small dog too instead of the giant Labrador that we picked!!!

Our new addition...
[QUOTE=debbie560;13660]She is a Shih tzu, /QUOTE]
The old heartbeat did double up when I saw her because that was my first thought but I have never seen one that colour.We always had terrier crosses but I had always wanted a shih tzu so last time round thats what we had,she came from a puppy farm which was very naughty of me to go there but it was the only place in the whole of our county that had a girl,she had no end of problems but we overcame them& she ended up being everyones little "darling". Because she was so nervous my then boss said have a fun litter from her to see if it would give her more confidence,which it did,we mated her to a yorkshire terrier so had "shiddyyorkies",the girl we kept out of the litter lived to be nearly 18yrs old.the character though of the shih tzu is unbelievable,ours used to collect the papers & post from the hall ever morning & she had her own special little plastic holder that we put money in & every week she would go down the path to meet the milkman to pay him & bring the change back,couldn't give the right money because if there was nothing put in the holder she would just sit & not move,thought she had been short changed.When we lost her all the milkmen who had met her cried with us...
Tell Amber her I really envy her & plenty of updates for Jackie please.....Last edited by jckkerrison; 7th March 2011 at 08:48 PM.

how gorgeous is she, I'm a dog lover as well as a cat lover too. We've had Afghan Hounds for the last 12 years, lost my last boy two years ago (gone but never replaced), and now embarking on life with my new babies - lovely to have another boy to snuggle on the sofa with!

Our new addition
Staying with daughter & she had scanned some of our old photos to make up a pets folder so she loaded a couple on for me,the first one is of Snoopy when she first arrived & the second is of her baby daughter....
Don't know why attatched pictures haven't come through in the usual way,don't know if it is because they were scanned not originals...!
