Well, that was an interesting hour or so!
Okay so I woke up just after five needing the loo and on the way back from the loo I could hear something meowing. I thought I must be imagining it because no one in our building has a cat. Then it got louder and a bit scary sounding to be honest - everywhere was dark and I was worried it would be a crazy stray.
I hoped it would go away and find its own way home but after about half an hour or more I decided to go and have a look.
Expecting a mental cat to jump at me, I was greeted instead by Spencer. A big grey fluffy thing who just wanted to roll around on my hall floor.
He had a tag so I called the owner (yes, at 6ish in the morning...) because I thought she might have been worried. She just came to pick him up there. Apparently once the weather gets warmer he goes out at night and breaks in to buildings/shops! She said this is the third time this week she's had a call about him.
He was very sweet and friendly - he just seemed to want to get into a flat/house to sleep or mess around.
It's made me want Teddy to get here asap - not so he can escape, just so he can roll around and be silly with me

I know! I was worried about that. It was just weird that he only tried our door when there are six flats in the building and the fact he was so persistent about it!
I'd secretly love it if he came back to say hello (although maybe not at 5am again...) but don't want him coming back after we've moved out and getting lost/hurt. I know I'd be distraught if it was my cat. His owner was saying how lucky he is that the people who've found him take care of him.

We've been emailing back and forth for the last few days and I've been dropping massive hints about wondering what he looked like and wishing I could see him...haha! Although I still haven't seen pictures...
She normally takes photos when people make enquiries (or at least before she sent the occasional one of Teddy that she took when photographing the ones still needing homes) but she says enquiries seem to have tailed off at the moment despite there being four kittens Teddy's age still available and one older one.
Hmm...
It is strange that she doesn't send photos because she does update me every week at least, she just never includes any snaps! I hope he hasn't turned green or something....
