another trip to the vets!
My 4 year old moggie Oscar went out for a couple of hours on Monday, came home at 7pm. Looked liked he had had abit of a fight with another cat; as there was loose fur on him!, he came in ate some food, and went to bed as normal with my 8 year old son. Son comes downstairs after 10 minutes to say that Oscar has been licking his tummy non stop! and that he had a hole in his tummy!. We went to investigate only to find that he had managed to slit his skin. Cut was about 2-3 cms long! no blood. Straight round to the emergency vet, 3 staples and £116 lighter! Only he will know how he managed to do it!, could of been the top of a sharp fence, or glass, we will never know. But he is now on the mend. Vet said tonight that he doesnt have to wear the lampshade anymore! and that staples can come out next Friday. What a week!.

Poor Oscar! I hope he heals up soon. None of my previous pets have ever had to have a lampshade - how do they sleep?

Its not quite a lampshade but looks like one!...But i slept downstairs with him for three nights so i could keep an eye of him, just in case he licked it or scratched or he didnt have to where the collar!, but he had to have it on during the day when i wasnt with him.!

Wow! That's dedication! I remember a friends dog had one on and he kept trying to go through spaces that he just wasn't going to get through with the lampshade on lol!
