Wow - love the photos, it sure looks like a lot of hard work. Do you have an idea of the approximate cost of doing that - your garden looks like it's a similar size to mine.

Of course my favourite photo is the one with the cats in it - they are soooo gorgeious.

The Felisafe netting was about £400 - which is for about 18 brackets (corner ones were ordered extra to get round the shed) and 60+ meters of netting and fixings (and shipping).

Then there was the chicken wire and sundries, about another £50. You'll needs all the usual tools, cordless drill, garden implements etc. Oh, and a ladder :)

And time. Lots and lots of time.

Fantastic job! It makes our 'Catcatraz' look flimsy in comparison. :LOL:

I enjoyed the videos too. Wonderful how they first step out cautiously, sniffing every nook and cranny, and gradually becoming more confident. In the second video you can see by the way they carry their tails and ears they really enjoy themselves.:satisfied:

I remember when we let them out the first time without harnesses. Tatja was first to venture out, slowly walked the perimeter with her belly close to the ground. Then she crouched down next to us, sniffing the air and staring at a bird on the balcony of the neighbour's house. She looked absolutely thrilled, like she had found herself in some Wonderland. Hubby and I sat watching her and agreed that sight alone made it worth all the effort and money we'd spent on it. :nod:

I agree, it's a great thing. Sadly, with the shorter winter days now they will only get out at weekends as I don't want to let them out unsupervised or in the dark until next year sometime, if then.

Now, to "program" the Pet Porte catflap in case they get to learn to use it before it gets too small...
