Cat Cheese Board
This came in the post this morning - Simba loved it. The mouse on the end of a piece of elastic gave him tons of fun but he bit through the elastic and got the mouse off in the first 10 mins!

I got it from Zooplus. I have to mention though, the mouse didn't last long! He got tons of fun while it lasted though. He hasn't figured out that there are balls inside it yet, just keeps looking for the mouse, which I have tied back on three times but now the elastic is too short!

Had the same problem with a toy of Harry's, it's basically a stick with a piece of elastic with a ball and feathers on the end, it got broke so many times and had to be tied back up it's about 5" long now and quite dangerous to use without gloves as you get scratched to pieces !

I'm going to try making my own up using a thick bit of elastic. I picked up a toy with feathers on it yesterday.

Our 6mos old male likes to chew through strings and has wrecked a few toys (plus made us very nervous he will swallow something bad). The worst experience I had though was a toy that you wound up and it spun with a feather on a string. Got it for one of our male's first birthdays. Lasted <<1min before he had destroyed the feathers and the cord. I did not think that a very worthwhile expenditure. I have to say, though, that he *really* enjoyed his brief time dismantling it!

There were 2 similar mice on the cat tree I got from Zooplus and Winston also managed to pull off the 2 mice.
I picked up a small grey rat in Ikea and hung it off his cat tree instead and this is lasting the distance!
