Farewell Theo
Our boy, Theo, got out on Friday night. He has wandered away before and knows the neighbourhood, so we were not too worried until by Saturday morning he still had not returned. There was no sign of him over the weekend and after dropping leaflets around the neighbours yesterday, I was told that he had been seen lying on a neighbour's lawn, apparently dead. I tracked down the person, who had put him in their black bin, rather than checking around to see who he belonged to. It seems he had an altercation with a car and came off worst.
I am so sad that he has gone, he was our first Maineline cat and was very special to us. What angers me more than the accident is that a person could be so heartless as to put a cat in a bin, when it was obvious he was a pedigree animal and well cared for. Thankfully, I got him out of the bin before it was emptied on Monday afternoon. I am shocked and horrified that people can be so uncaring.
Goodnight Mr Theodorable, we will always love you.

Oh I'm so sorry. What sad news.
How dreadful that the person who found him couldn't be bothered to enquire, and you had to fetch him out of their bin.
But at least you were able to say your goodbyes properly.
Thinking of you at this difficult time x
