I am off to Bracknell on Saturday with Alfie and then to Edenbridge on Sunday, without Alfie, so I will be all 'showed-out' by Sunday evening! Good luck to everyone showing this weekend

Shows This Weekend
Hi Wendy, come & introduce yourself at Edenbridge,we will be there with our"small"boy Wellynton Boots,at least I can hold him ,bless, when we take Shimba as well no one can believe they are litter brothers because of the size difference & people tend to ignore Welly so now give him his own show time without bruv....I might be looking after friends cat as well because she has one of her Queens due this weekend,we are keeping fingers crossed that she decides to have them early but no sign at the moment, typical.
Hoping to meet Freyja & her mum as well so could put some faces to forum members !
Good luck with Alfie Saturday, you will be able to fill us in how you got on.Last edited by jckkerrison; 1st October 2010 at 11:21 AM.

Unfortunately, I've just returned from a 5 day break in Guernsey to discover a nasty flood from our top floor bathroom that's drenched a fair sized lump of all three floors; now waiting for emergency plumbers and loss adjusters to work out what's next, but it's currently cold, damp, smelly and dark in my house, and the whole cat show thing is well and truly off for me and Freyja. And if the flood and cat show weren't bad enough, I've had to put off collecting Wicca, too.
Best of luck to everyone this weekend, looking forward to catching up on how it went for everyone.

Shows This Weekend
So so sorry for you,not a very nice return home especially looking forward to the new arrival, daughter had a flood in her house a few weeks ago so the carpets have just been replaced right through downstairs plus the stairs & landing, the week before they were due to be put down they had a second leak, the plummer had done a bodge job first time round, dread to think if it had happened again after the new carpets had arrived....
Hope things soon get sorted although it sounds as if you have a fair bit of damage & fingers crossed that baby will soon be able to come home, perhaps catch up with you & two babies at another show....!

Oh Karen how awful to come back from holiday and have to deal with this. You have my complete sympathy. A similar thing happened to us a couple of years ago - the in-laws phoned and said there's water pouring down your kitchen window - where's the stop tap? We were in Norfolk and had to come home a day early to mop up. They'd done some work on the mains in our street and the change in water pressure had burst the ancient lead cold water mains pipe. Luckily the OH is very handy and we took the opportunity to remove all the rest of the lead pipe and replace it with copper. Ended up taking a month to sort out, including new floors and re-decorating!
Talk about dreadful timing though - first cat show and new kitten. Poor you. Let us know how you get on, hope it's not too stressful, and...maybe you'll end up with some gorgeous new decor!
