Oh where to start...
We got there early and were none too happy to find out that the vets hadn't turned up and the show manager was going to 'vet' us in, which she had done the day before too! NOT GOOD ENOUGH, we should have turned round then.
There was hardly anyone there, which surprised me, although about half the cats there were Bengals. Everyone seemed to be in their own clique, and had been there the day before!
A certain someone was chatting to one of the American judges like they were besties!
The Canadian judge's steward hadn't even got us down in her notes so after hasty rejigging of pens this judge assessed our kitten by squeezing her muzzle... nothing else, as far as she was concerned that squeeze was all she needed to do!
In my opinion the judges were bored by the whole thing and couldn't wait to get home, the show was the worse one we have ever been to, I'm sure Fey got lots of points but as I wouldn't join TICA if they paid me! We'd had enough by 2.30 and left, I can assure you that it was nothing like our usual showing days, it was like a 1970's farce of a cat show... I'll never go TICA again ever, ever, ever!

[QUOTE=Tivicoons;9646]Lovely kitten, well done, I love her firey colours...

Who did you take ...?
Have just been onto the Tica forum & it looks as if the people running the show realised there were some problems & are trying to get them sorted before the next show.
Some lovely photos though, one is of a maine coon kitten,no name & I thought it looked like Fey but the picture of her on your site doesn't show her face quite enough to pick up on the markings. Most probaly you didn't take her anyway & thats the end of Detective Jackie trying to be clever !!!!

[quote=jckkerrison;9661]She went to a show in the Netherlands, I am having all my cats pets pass ported now Just started so I am going to come back to the UK again to show.
I have many cat friends who show Tica, I was at the very first ever Tica show ever in the UK with my Chocolate tabby pointed British and had the very first UK Lynx point champion... I bred the first UK Cinnamon tabby pointed and fawn tabby pointed, so with my new cats and colours I am cooking with gas!! as I love to experiment, means keeping a lot of cats!! lol
But one can never have to many cats!!
Next year we are keeping a few girl Maine-coons back and these will be shown also. very exciting plans for the future.
My Next show is in January! here
And then I will keep you posted will be nice to meet up!

Hi all
I can't find pix of the horrible show, actually I do feel sorry for the organizers as they all seemed really nice people. We did take Fey or Acoonamatata Phaedra as she is officilally known... we were at the same venue in September and had the pleasure of watching Alison Lyall and her steward handle our then 14 week old kitten. They were fantastically kind and kissed and cuddled her (and the other kittens they judged whilst we were in the gallery) they put her, gently on the table and gave her a propper assesment, then they gave her another cuddle... a great way to show a very young kitten that people were friends... no muzzle squeezing for her or the other kittens. I just felt that the TICA thing was a total waste of time... I was considering dual registering as the hype on TICA sounds good... Ha Ha it was anything but; perhaps if we had been members or gone on day one it may have been different; I will never find out!
I'd love to meet up at our West Country shows, I'm not that good at the showing lark but it gets me out of the house...

Show brag
Hi Tivicoons,
Try putting in www.facebook.com/album should take you straight to a link that gives the show name & date, there are 106 pictures on there & the one that I wondered about was no 87,it looks as if the person was wearing green so if you were in pink ...!
Don't take the link off of here as it will ask for a log in put it straight into tool bar....Last edited by jckkerrison; 2nd December 2010 at 10:58 AM.
