Cat litter advice, one I use seems to not be stocked any more
If this is in the wrong place I apolgise.
I have been using Sepi-Cat AntiBac cat litter ever since I got my Rommy as that is what she was using at the breeders, now I could only buy this at Pets at Home or I think I got it one time at Zooplus, now my problem is both do not have it listed on their websites any more, and a few other online places its all listed as out of stock or from websites that look slightly dodgy.
So I think I have to look for an alternative litter for her, but no idea what to get, and if so how to I go about changing her over, as I have none of the sepi-cat left, do I just mix the new one into her current litter, or empty her current litter and wash out the tray and refill?
Any help is appricated
Thanks
Kimbie

I can't advice on makes of litter any more as having so many cats now we very successfully use chick crumb & layers pellets mixed together, works out a lot cheaper but up until then we used one of the more expensive clumping litters, also worked well as the clumping was so good that with a moderate number of cats it worked out cheaper in the long run..... I have always emptied trays & put in whatever straight away, even as kittens mine have come home & got on with using what the others had straight away,I reckon some people might have had problems without slowly changing over but I try to give my furries credit that they are clean & will use whatever toilet facilities are provided & as yet they haven't let me down, watch this space.........x
Just checked back into my zooplus account & it was Classy Cat Litter, two other friends & I used it for years & would go back to it if furry numbers diminish back to slightly lower....xxxLast edited by jckkerrison; 15th July 2013 at 11:59 AM.

I can recommend Worlds Best Cat litter that is sold at Pets at home and on Zooplus. Zooplust also do the extra clumping variety as well. It is fab stuff, just put down a good 5cm odd of the stuff and then use a scoop that has small ish holes and dig out the clumps and the poo and put it stright down the toilet That way it lasts for ages!! I love the stuff, it is expensive but then it lasts for ages too.

Can I second the Worlds Best Cat Litter. It clumps beautifully, is easy on the paws and you can scoop it out and just top it up as needed. It is also a lot lighter than some, is biodegradable and doesn't seem to retain smells at all. It does track across the floor more noticeably than the clay, especially with big hairy feet, but is sweeps/hoovers up really easily.
Sidney used it straight away when we changed from clay-based - he t seemed relieved cos it is much easier to dig in than clay...I would say that a lidded litter tray will keep the litter contained better - it is quite light and can be thrown a fair way by enthusiastic digging!
I usually buy from Pets At Home - they often have offers on so I tend to bulk buy.

I am currently using blue buffalo clumping litter made with walnut shells as it can be flushed down the toilet, although I use very little it works very well!
