I have given up trying to get Jones to use a bed! He prefers to lie on the nearest hard surface or whatever piece of carpet takes his interest. He has shown no interest in nice cosy squishy bedding or in the cardboard box with blanket option I loving crafted for him with my own bare hands.

He'll also routinely jump up into an open kitchen drawer if you turn your back on it for a millisecond, he also enjoys using my bookcases and shelves to run and climb along. He seems happy enough doing this (I should point out I have sturdy bookcases), presumably because it lets him sit higher up than we do so he can feel like he's in charge and also it probably helps him in his unofficial duties as inspector/supervisor of all activities which take place in the house!

Yes we have numerous nice beds, mats, blankies etc around the house too that never get used! Moofie lies across the bottom stair which can cause major problems, under anything slightly 'tent-like' or in any large bush in the garden!

Love it Helen! Ours have taken to sleeping on the fireplace surround so I've had to clear it of anything remotely breakable!
