Rats!!
Here I am reading about all these gorgeous MCs particularily those sweet kittens when in the door walks my ex Diva 'Maisie' with an enormous rat in her dignified mouth. She marches to the utility room where I now know a huge corpse awaits. Oh she has just come back to me, ratless, and chirping so I steeled myself to say 'good cat'. Now I must deal with 'it'. The joys of cat owning!!!

What an excellent provider. When the zombie apocalypse comes, you'll be grateful for such a hunter! :-P

It's rats that make me scream and head for the high ground!
If your fellas are anything like my two one will like spiders as a quick feed and the other will go nuts for flies! Not had any mice problems so I don't know if they will go for them!
I like your tactics with the toys good thinking on that one

I'm not bothered by mice or spiders, I'd prefer mice to live in cages or outside though spiders are welcome. Rats are a whole different matter and I was surprised by my instinctive reaction to one I saw last winter. I work from home and my office windows look out onto the back garden and patio which has a pergola over it. I hang bird feeders on the pergola and get a lot of enjoyment out of watching the birds. In the bad weather last year I had hung one of those fat boxes and was truly horrified to look out and see not a bird but a great big rat hanging off it. I was actually surprised by how violent my disgust and horror was because in general I have a live and let live attitude to all living creatures. In this case the fat box was disposed of and all manner of rat get ridder ofs put out within hours! No more fat boxes for my garden!

Before i moved to the country I was first on that chair. Now I can tolerate mice and voles that occasionally appear but Rats are a different ball game. I just loathed having to lift that one and toss it over a ditch. They are sooooo big.
I really dislike having those feelings towards any animal but can't help it.
