Morning mouse
When I woke up this morning, none of our four were in our bedroom, which is extremely unusual. Decided I had better check it out, so got up. Looking down the hall, I could see all four in a circle together in the living room. "There they are fine...ah, but wait that is rather odd...better go investigate further." As I walked down the hall, I could see something dark in the midst of their circle, which suddenly started racing around, with Zephyr batting at it. A small mouse! Had to pull Zephyr off it so I could get it in a jar. Between him and me, it didn't look too good by the time I threw it outside. We don't have mice in the house ever, but the cats do go in the garage, and mice do occasionally get into the garage. Don't know if one of them brought it inside while they were in the garage last night or if the mouse came in the door while it was standing open for the cats. Certainly one of them must have carried it upstairs. The mouse was quite wet, so had clearly been in mouths. What a way to wake up on a Monday!

I had that experience once only it was a frog, luckily before we had the babes or I wouldn't have held out for its chances with Welly but the then four cats were the same as your crew, just sitting round it in the middle of the hall way,I was not so cool & collected as you though,Briannnn the cats have got a b****y frog, ugh,on the table for me until it has gone......
Who is still getting over the shock in your household, you or mousey, bet the cats were not pleased having their fun stopped so adruptly especially Zephyr....
