there have been a number of hissy spitty fits from my old lady and luckily the mits do seem to respect her sleeping chair ...but they are getting more adventurous and that pose only happened with a lot of fuss to her allowing him to settle and then she just watched him out of the corner of his eye ....they follow her everywhere and just want to be her friend but she is not very keen ...doesnt help that as she is deaf she cant hear them purring and chirping to her. They have been here three weeks now ...tolerance is growing but i dont think they will ever be cuddly pals

I have the exact same situation going on here. The only difference is that my old lady (well, not really old, 6 years old) is becoming increasingly tolerant of Erwin in just a few days.
He wants to play with her and purrs just at the touch of her fur, but she hisses whenever he gets too close, ESPECIALLY when they're both in bed. It seems that my bed is the throne :p
But I must say Erwin is very provocative, he is around her all the time trying to get her to play with him. In my case the kitten is deaf, not the moggie. I'm hoping they will get to keep each other company at some point. Negritta really needs a play pal, she's overweight and needs some exercise! Just dieting won't do the trick for her.

soots is 17 and really beyond playing ...she'll bat a mouse around very occasionally but not often now ....sleep eat and fuss is basically her lot now... it does help having the two kittens as they play with themselves and do seem to respect the sleeping old girl.

Well usually older cats just mind their own business and they don't want to be bothered, so it's good you got two young ones. As long as they tolerate each other I think it's gonna be fine =)

and now eric is being brave and lying next to her ...not sure that she would cope if they both decided to do the same thing at the same time

Karma & Keiko (4 & 3) are the original moggies of our house, and now Kalli (MC) has been with us almost 5 weeks. Kalli & Keiko are playing with each other, but Karma has no time for Kalli at all! Don't remember her taking so long to get used to Keiko! Hopefully she'll get used to Kalli eventually...so much hissing & swiping!!
