Superhappy!!
Hello everybody!
I'm super happy 'cause I just came back from my first expo with my love (Troy) where he won his first certificate CAC!!!
It was not a awesome day since it was super hot, and Troy didn't like all the noises and the people interested in him, but on the other hand, ....I'm super proud of him, first expo, first win!! ;)

Very well done Troy, did mum have a cage fan for you,my boys just lay all akimbo & let the air blow all over them purring their heads off at the same time,

Unluckily I haven't found a fan, I asked all the shops in the expo, but none had them.. I think no-one thought it were so hot, since we had a quite raining summer here in switzerland.. ;)
Maybe I'll find one at our next expo (I think Animalia in Lausanne), even though I think it won't be so hot in october,... I'm looking forward, even because at the beginning of september Keira (our new female from the 'Chatterie de Villamauve) will join our family so we we'll do the expo with the couple ;)

Good job you have had one show under your belt before having to cope with two, that will keep you very busy, not long now then before we will see more photos of Keira posted ..?
We don't have to use fans here too often either but I always make sure I have one with me just in case, never know when the air conditioning in the hall could go wrong but as yet the only time that has happened it was b****y freezing,we all kept reporting there was a problem but no one would believe us,eventually someone came along to the hall & if we were not all so cross it would have been laughable, everybody was wrapped up in car blankets etc & we had to go & buy some cat blankets to put round the boys as they were shaking with cold,if the MC's were feeling it that bad I hate to think how the Syphinx were coping, luckily that was a one off but the stall that was selling the cat blankets done well that day.

Congratulations, I have this small fan I don't use it for cooling kitty but it would certainly work for that.
It's similar to the cooling fans use in computers but larger and it run off regular house hold current.
I got it at "Radio Shack" not sure what the UK equivalent would be, it's small and doesn't take up much room and it's quite.

This is the sort of thing you want, but check the rules of the specific show to see if they have restrictions on colours or attachments to the pens etc.:
Purrsonal Touch
PS Well done that cat! Pictures ?

Our fans are Metro cage & crate in a very becoming blue....
We got ours from HUB international, are nice & quiet but put out a good air flow, over in the UK I think the only organisation you might have to stick to a colour code may be the GCCF, FB no problems & I would say TICA the same as they are both basically same show format, you take your cats to the judges,GCCF is the only one where you have to leave the hall while main judging is being done & the judges go to the cat in its pen.
As Shimba normally lays out on his grooming table most of the day we put his fan/fans inside his pen blowing out into the hall,on a hot day we benefit as well.....!
